Our goal is simple: Raise $100,000.00 by December 31, 2008. This money will be donated to GuluWalk.com and distributed to an array of different programs in Northern Uganda. GuluWalk is committed to being accountable for all donations and to ensuring that the money is making a significant difference to the Acholi children of Uganda.
"In 2006, 70% of all donations went directly to children's programs on the ground in northern Uganda. Meanwhile, 30% went to our continuing awareness and education initiatives, which included a commitment to allocate no more than 10% to administrative costs."

Thanks to all friends, family and acquaintances for their support and encouragement. Thanks to Mike Prentice and the rest of the team at GuluWalk, especially Todd Devlin for juggling university and putting up with my constant technical backend requests, Susan Shapiro for helping with copy, branding and overall support, Saj B. for pulling through on print advertisement, Jillian Hollander for her immense emotional support and generous contributions, Lindsay Grant for constant encouragement and great MSN dialogue, Clive Lobo for solidifying my belief in giving back, Tonny Shin for his internet marketing advice, my roomates Geoff Oakham, Trevor Bart and Jakob Chapman (pronounced Ya-kob!) for great dinner conversations, Gillian Street for asking the tough questions, and Adam Green for introducing me to Rising Uganda, GuluWalk and an awesome Bob Marley remix.
And finally, Adrian Bradbury and Kieran Hayward for walking over 775km over 31 days, sleeping in freezing cold temperatures outside city hall to tell the stories of the night commuters of Uganda. What started out as an awareness campaign in 2005 has now become a world wide movement and made a significant change for the 40,000 children walking at night to escape the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA).
